Quirky and iconic. It's really expensive for what you get, but the food is certainly creative. My $19 Cobb salad was DELICIOUS... but still $19. The ambiance is fun to bring out of towners. I'd go back for a special occasion but not just a random meal wherever/whenever.

Amazing food and great service topped off by the best version of a ranch water around. The chicken fried steak hit the spot.

We came here for Sunday late lunch, which was brunch for them. The ambience was superb- totally Texas, pics from the past as well as mounted animals. The food was ample and delicious and came out very quickly. Mimosa was, sort of, make it yourself ( they gave you ingredients and you poured all yourself). Full bar was available for brunch. It had an outdoor seating area w live music ( but we chose the AC). We'll be back here when we visit Austin again.

Visited for brunch with my friends and the servers were extremely attentive and the AC was super nice inside. I got the calamari and it was delicious! The coffee is also very good here. Highly recommend!

I reached out to Ranch 616 about 3 weeks before I was coming to town for my bachelorette. I wanted to see if they were able to accommodate a group of 18 people with short notice, and they were! For a large group we had a set brunch menu of $40/person. This came with apps, a salad and an entree. The service was great for so many of us and the food was so good too. They gave us three dips for an app and I loved them all. I had the breakfast burrito and that was good too. A very large drink menu as well.

If you're looking for a lively night, this is the perfect spot to start. Good for bigger groups & great location as it's on west 6th street and surrounded by bars. Ranch 616 is home of the ranch water so that would be my drink of choice.. somehow it just taste better here!? You also have to try their famous jalapeño shots. Can't go wrong with the ceviche as an appetizer it tastes so fresh. I would recommend sitting on the patio it's more vibey then indoor seating.

Went in on a Saturday morning around 11 and got seated right away. The inside decor is very southern/texan. Our waitress was amazing and provided amazing service. We had the following: Divorced Chilaquiles - this dish comes with house chorizo and fried egg , however I asked for chorizo to be on the side and got scrambled eggs instead. It's a big dish and so filling. The verde sauce that is used is very tasty. Overall this dish was amazing and highly recommend it. Husband tried the "Hungry Rancher" Burrito - this burrito sure has a lot of meat & flavors were on point. We will be back to try other breakfast and lunch menu items.

It's hard for me to head downtown for food. Ended up at Katz's more than any place back in the day. Close second was Z Tejas but that's not exactly in the DT zone. I worked here 94-95. Not in the good part; warehouse district would have been better. OMG City Grill with a coupon dining after 9PM. 23/24 may be different. GF and I've ventured into Punch Bowl Social and Ruth's Chris this year. Ranch 616 has genuine tenure. Easy reservation process; got so surprise the GF with a new place. We're in sitting at a table noticing the snakeskin booths. Longhorn colors everywhere! Send me the # of your interior decorator! Service wasn't perfect but I'll focus on the food. Camarones Relleno...when is deep frying bacon NOT gonna be a thing? OK bites but seriously, it can be prepared another way. Ordered a biscuit to accompany my meal; nice flavors. I could have paired it with? Minimal gravy on my Chicken Fried Steak too. Ordered more but that took literally 20 minutes to get a 2 ounce serving. Guess no "Country Boy" bliss for me. The meat also wasn't exactly pounded down enough showing a thin line of pink in the middle. Thickest CFS I've encountered. I liked the Potato and Onion medley nestled under the entree. GF liked her burger so it's a personal win in my books. We went somewhere where the ex and I hadn't dined at. I'm probably being a bit generous with the stars in cuisine and service. Hey, we had a good time. Long time establishment for a reason.
